Dubai Laundry Market Report 2026: Where the Laundries Are, and What They Charge

Shareef Mohammed, Founder July 3, 2026 10 min read

TL;DR: We mapped 574 laundry and dry-cleaning locations across Dubai (July 2026). Al Barsha and International City lead with 28 laundries each, followed by Deira (25), JVC (22), Karama (21) and Dubai Marina (21). Published wash-and-fold pricing among major delivery providers ranges from roughly AED 6 to AED 11 per kg equivalent. Methodology

We compiled 574 laundry and dry-cleaning locations operating in Dubai as of July 2026, each verified against a Google Maps place listing. 536 of the 574 (93%) publish a phone number. 389 locations could be classified to a specific neighbourhood; the remainder list only 'Dubai' as their area.

Price data comes exclusively from providers' own published price pages, checked on 3 July 2026. We did not estimate any price that a provider does not publish — providers with app-gated or quote-only pricing are marked as such.

Laundry density: Dubai's top neighbourhoods (2026)

Of the 389 area-classified locations: Al Barsha 28, International City 28, Deira 25, JVC (Jumeirah Village Circle) 22, Karama 21, Dubai Marina 21, Jumeirah 18, Meydan 18, Downtown 17, Al Quoz 15, Mirdif 15, Al Nahda 14, Silicon Oasis 14, Business Bay 11, DIFC 11, Al Qusais 10, Tecom (Barsha Heights) 10, Rashidiya 9, Satwa 8.

Two patterns stand out. First, older high-density districts (Deira, Karama, Satwa) remain laundry-rich from decades of walk-in trade. Second, newer residential communities (JVC, Meydan, Silicon Oasis) have seen laundry counts climb with population — while several villa communities (Arabian Ranches, The Springs, DAMAC Hills) have very few physical shops, making them almost entirely dependent on pickup-and-delivery services.

What major delivery providers actually charge (published prices, July 2026)

Comparing per-kilogram-equivalent published prices for everyday wash-and-fold: Washmen charges AED 75 for a 12 kg bag (about AED 6.3/kg equivalent). ServiceMarket lists AED 65 for a 6 kg bag (about AED 10.8/kg) with pressed items from AED 7. Swabi Laundry charges AED 10 per kg with a 3 kg minimum, plus wash-and-press from AED 3 per item and dry cleaning from AED 25 per item. Justlife prices primarily inside its app; Laundryheap publishes UK pricing but not an itemised AED list on its UAE pages.

The honest takeaway: bag-based pricing (Washmen-style) is cheaper per kg IF you fill the bag; per-kg pricing (Swabi-style) is cheaper for smaller loads and has no bag-fill pressure. Per-piece pricing wins when you only need a few garments pressed. No single model is cheapest for everyone — it depends on your load size.

The underserved-areas finding

Cross-referencing density against community size: areas like Arabian Ranches, Remraam, The Meadows, DAMAC Lagoons and Jumeirah Golf Estates each show zero to one physical laundries in our dataset despite large residential populations. Residents of these communities are structurally dependent on free pickup-and-delivery services — which explains why delivery-first providers concentrate marketing there.

For renters choosing between neighbourhoods: if laundry access matters to you and you don't want delivery apps, Al Barsha, Karama, Deira and International City give you the most walk-in choice per square kilometre.
